A new poll conducted in Britain, showed that a blue bedroom can guarantee you a full eight hour sleep and waking up with a happy, positive attitude. According to the poll conducted, the color blue is associated with tranquility and it is estimated that throws the heartbeat and even blood pressure. The trio of the winners are also green and yellow as bedrooms which dominate these two colors also offer around 7 hours and 40 minutes uninterrupted sleep. It seems that this causes excitation color and can reduce the hours of sleep, individuals slept purple room awakened in less than six hours on average.

The people who slept in bedrooms dominated by brown walls, and not only, cannot sleep for more than 6 hours and 5 minutes each night, while those who slept in rooms with fifty shades of gray rested for only six hours and 12 minutes. Experts investigated 2,000 homes across Britain to discover how colors affect sleep quality.

Purple for nightmares

The consultant chromotherapy and holistic interior designer, Kiatsari Susie, explained that decorating a bedroom can affect the quality and quantity of sleep. Although many people believe that the purple color gives a touch of luxury in the bedroom, it actually reduces hours of sleep. The purple color is associated with the artistic community and stated that it enhances creativity. The sleeping of someone in a purple room can lead to more vivid dreams, even nightmares giving the feeling of being tired the next morning.

Red alert for sexual health

The study also showed that the colors in the bedroom affect other activities. For example, couples who sleep in bedrooms which are decorated in the color of caramel make love three times a week on average. The ones that sleep in a red decorated bedroom, do not engage in sexual embracement more than once a week.
